Kagio Hospital began with a simple conviction: the families of Kagio and greater Kirinyaga County deserve the same standard of healthcare available in Kenya's biggest cities — without the long journeys, the waiting, or the cost of being far from home.
From those first consultation rooms, we have grown into a Level 5 hospital with a 250-bed capacity, an intensive care unit manned around the clock, modern operating theatres, a renal dialysis unit, a newborn unit and a full family of specialist clinics. Yet through all that growth, one thing has never changed — every patient is received, treated and cared for like family.
Today, patients travel to us from Sagana, Baricho, Kerugoya, Kutus, Murang'a and beyond, drawn by a reputation built one healed patient at a time.
